Apply for e-Visa

  • If you are a new User, then create an account on the Official Malawi e-Visa Portal.
  • You need to login to the e-Visa Portal to complete the online e-Visa application form.
  • It requires you to give the travelers information as per the data page of your passport, travel details, photograph, and other related documents.

Proceed with payment

  • After completing the visa application form, you need to do online payment for the visa fee and convenience fee by your credit card or debit card Visa/Master.
  • You will receive a confirmation email notification for your visa application after you do payment.
  • The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services will review your application and do the required visa processing.

Receive your Visa Certificate/ Document

  • After approval for the Visa Application you have to download the e-Visa and print it out.
  • You need to show the e-Visa on arrival at the Port of Entry.

What is Malawi e-Visa?

Malawi e-Visa

The Malawi e-Visa is an official document which permits entry within Malawi. Travelers who want to travel Malawi can apply for the visa through this portal. The applicant can get their visas after providing the required details and making an online payment.

The e-Visa system will inform you through email after your visa application is submitted. After the necessary processing, the decision will be made on approval of the application. Once your visa is approved, you will receive an email and approval letter. The Visa approval letter must be shown to the Passport control counter at ports of entry for verification. A copy of e-Visa approval letter is mandatory before travelling to Malawi.

Based on the inspection and verification, the Malawian officials at the ports of entry reserves the right to deny entry into Malawi to a holder of an e-Visa with no explanation.
